Pat Schultz vs Cesar is the best fight to Pat shows his fans how best fighter he is, but he refused. Guess why?

I hear Cesar Barros is a beast...I've never seen him in action so I can't say that about him from personal experience...but the boneyard guys know how to throw down...

I remember Eddie Bravo putting Barros in his "crotch ripper" submission at a seminar, and Cesar just sitting there in it looking bored - flexible guy for a heavyweight

I've gone to a bunch of shows to see that guy fight and everytime, no one wants to fight him, they get hurt, or worse yet, don't show up...I wonder if anyone can get him a legit guy to fight him so that we can see this guy in action...

I've never seen Cesar in action myself, but if his 101 nuthuggers on MassMMA are right about him, I can't wait to see him fight.

Cesar is ridiculous, every time I think I'm a hot S##T I roll with Cesar and after about 40 seconds get brought back down to earth, the only person I've ever seen even pose a challenge to him is Matt Thornton

Everbody wants to see Cesar's fight. Maybe we don't have a legit fighter in New England to fight him. I hope soon he can show to us his MMA skills.

Chainsaw hits like a brick in a hurricane. As far as I'm concerned with this beast...believe half of what you see, none of what you hear, and everything you feel. Chainsaw over Mandela. Bam!

I was at Cesar's fight with Will Murphy. He looked good, but not good enough to warrant all the fuss that's been going on. I have never trained with the guy or really even talked about how tough he is with the guys he trains with, but I honestly don't know why he's been so hard to match. John Clark...you seem to be calling out a bunch of guys...any chance you want Cesar?

Many more than Ceasar are ducked show after show. When an undefeated fighters have been inactive for a year and guys who are 3-6 are on every card. The reason is obvious.

Guys, I don't know all the rules. I do know this is the third time (that I know of) that Cesar was scheduled to fight, and then wasn't allowed to. Why does this happen? As someone unfamiliar with the sport, it sure doesn't seem fair; but maybe I just don't understand. Anyone?

i think cesar is around 205

Eddie Saldana
Aren't there plenty of guys at 205 looking for fights right now? I thought I read at least two posts of guys looking for fights...One of those dudes should contact a promoter and get on a card vs Cesar Barros...I'm sure he's dying to get in another fight by now...
Posted: August 18, 2006 @ 08:16 AM

Mark Hoxie
I'd fight Barros at 205, but I don't know if Mike would work with me or not ever again for it to take place on an Untamed Card. Plus, with my powerhouse 0-1 record, I don't know if Cesar would even be interested.

Hoxie, if you want to fight Cesar tomorrow call or e-mail me. You have my contact. Just show up this time. For the record. I've contacted Clarke, Diekman, rebell, Brown, and 3 other schools looking for a 205. Everyone has other things or hasn't been training. It's tough to make a match on a couple days notice but I'm trying. Also the charity fight is still a possibility. The opponent for Chaupette had a death in his family. Obviously he has more important things to take care of right now. Our thoughts go out to him and his family.

Mike, tomorrow would not work out because of prior engagements, but I would absolutely accept the fight for Untamed 8 if you can't find an opponent that you would find more suitable for your fighter and event. I would have emailed you privately, but I think this is more important to make a public thing. I'd also like to let you know that I would take this fight or any other in Untamed 8, at my own cost. A while back, you and I had a public altercation on this website. I wanted to formally apologize for the way I handled things through this offer. Our medicals were screwed up and when I found out that they were not necessarily required if the other fighters were okay with it I made a bad gut decision. My knee jerk reaction was to not take part (and more importantly, not have Brendan take part) because of some past experiences. (weights not being taken seriously and then getting my ass kicked, etc.) I prejudged a person and an event that I knew little about and became an even bigger moron by going public with my problems on this site. I handled it incorrectly and your support from the masses made it evident. I'm not expecting us to suddenly become best friends, but I wanted you and everyone else to know that I know I was wrong and I sincerely apologize. This sentiment stands whether you want to ever work with me or my team again or not.

Mark Hoxie...Nice stepping up to the plate man...You may have just finally convinced me to buy a ticket to that show...I was about 80% in going because of other fights that I want to see, but this one is the fight I've been wanting to see...
Posted: August 18, 2006 @ 11:59 AM

Mark Hoxie
Eddie, I'm stepping up to fight Barros, but it wouldn't be until Untamed 8 and of course he and Mike would have to confirm that they even want it in the first place. So you can still buy a ticket to the show, just make sure you come to 8 as well...

im kinda fat right now, if i eat and drink all day i can make 205

SO MARK HOXIE,let's do this!

Mark Hoxie
Excellent! Talk to Mike and we can set it up for Untamed 8. I would have come out your way tomorrow and battled it out but I'm heading up to the St. Lawrence this weekend. What weight are you looking to fight at?

Cesar's and Murphy's fight was like two years ago...and that was Cesar's first fight with only 3 MONTHS OF TRAINNING...imagine how good a guy can get in a two year period of hard trainning. I've been Cesar's trainning partner for a long time and I can attest for his skills and stregth (I've been doing BJJ and Submission Grappling for over 7 yrs) the guy is GOOD and he needs a fight...it is frustating to be training day in and day out and all your opponets they either get hurt or back out of the fight...we need to get Cesar in the main card this guy has potential and the skills to go far...
Posted: August 18, 2006 @ 02:22 AM

Eddie Saldana
Cesar is the man...He's been quietly reading the bulletin board and chimes in beautifully when someone accepts his challenge, LOL....nice dude....stay healthy guys and make the fight happen...Best of luck to you both...

Oh yeah, Mark Hoxie, good call on that last post...I thought they were putting the fight on for this weekend since Cesar was already supposed to fight...I'm still going to check out Untamed 8, however...
Posted: August 18, 2006 @ 02:25 AM

Mark Hoxie
Yeah, it would have been great to get in there this weekend but you can count on me for 8. I know Mike is of course busy as hell with 7 right now, but I'll be ready to lock it in whenever he is. If Cesar was only training for a few months before his first fight and did that well, I'm sure this will be a great fight.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it brother...

Posted: October 19, 2006 @ 04:09 AM

I remember at an Eddie Bravo seminar, he put Cesar in the "crotch ripper", and Cesar just sat there like he was doing a simple stretch - very flexible for a big guy
